Meet Judge TaTeasha Davis
Judge TaTeasha Davis is exceptionally qualified, highly recommended, and exceptionally well qualified. The entire Pierce County Superior Court bench officially and collectively endorses Judge Davis for reelection: “AN UNPRECEDENTED UNANIMOUS ADOPTION OF AND ENDORSEMENT BY THE ENTIRE PIERCE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT BENCH”.
Her legal pedigree is without compare: Department of Homeland Security Assistant General Counsel; Tacoma YWCA Staff Attorney; Financial Law Attorney for the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions Office of the Secretary; Breach advisor for Washington’s Medical Malpractice Insurance Association; Law Clerk for the Pierce County Superior Court. All these positions notwithstanding, she is genuine, personable and real.
Judge Davis has worked hard her whole life to prove that she is a fighter for those everyday people who need advocacy in the courtroom. She has the wisdom and temperament necessary for the position. She is an advocate for the most vulnerable populations in Pierce County and constantly looks for innovative ways to bring our homeless veterans resources within the community.
Judge Davis is our first African American woman elected to serve Pierce County, and since that time, she has shown her unyielding commitment to all members of Pierce County who appear before her. She encourages outreach and understands that most members of the community have questions about their rights and how to effectively handle their case in our court system.
Upon joining the Pierce County Superior Court bench, Judge Davis vowed to use her position as a judge to ensure that “everyone one of our residents are provided with accountability, compassion and good judgment”.

She was first (and unanimously) endorsed by the entire Superior Court bench where she spent several years prior to her election. For those of us that know the judges as well as Justice Culp knows the judges, this is a BIG endorsement.

- In her 15 years of work in a variety of social service positions, she’s collaborated with numerous community based organizations, including: Comprehensive Mental Health, Catholic Community Services, Northwest Justice Project, Associated Ministries, Washington Correctional Center for Women, Oakwood Community Center, and Ferndale Reporter newspaper based out of Whatcom County.
- Judge Davis has worked with a variety of vulnerable populations, including low-income and minority families, youth programs, homeless families, housing issues and impacted youth.
